About The Webcams Web Hosting Plans
The Kennebec River Cam is an old webcam we've had kicking around for about 5 years now. It used to be housed in a flashlight casing, but now it's duck taped to the inside of an office window. It's a USB camera plugged into a PC using YawCam WebCam Software and set to update every 20 seconds. The software is pretty easy to setup and allows you some modest customization settings. The two building you see are First Federal Savings on the left and Bath Savings on the right.
The Front Street Cam is a new WebCam from GadSpot that we are testing. Low cost, great output, night vision, easy to configure, comes with a 25' powered cord, and is completely weatherproof. This camera uses a DNC connector that is plugged into a video converted then Firewired to an iMac running EvoCom for OSX webcam software. This software is pretty slick, easy to configure and allows multiple cams to be running at once, also set to update every 20 seconds. This camera is set just outside an office window shooting south down Front Street, Bath, Maine. On the left you can see Bath Savings, and in the distance Bath City Hall and sometimes the Bath Iron Works Crane in the distance. On your right is Wilson's Drug Store, and just below you can see the awning for JR Maxwells Restaurant.
