 What is HAVEN?
HAVEN Lite represents the latest in virtual server, networking and storage technology developed by and located in the Maine Hosting Solutions Data Center. Through a partnership with Nexus, VMware, Cisco and EMC, MHS has implemented Northern New England’s first commercially available High Availability Managed Server Infrastructure. HAVEN Lite is the clear replacement for standard stand-alone dedicated servers.
Why was HAVEN designed?
We saw a need to provide customers with a flexible Managed Server option that goes beyond the standard ping, power and pipe. With HAVEN customers are able to scale server resources to meet actual requirements of their business needs. These needs may range from upgrading the primary server environment to disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.

HAVEN as the primary infrastructure
Physical Dedicated Servers, were and still are, a viable option for providing greater reliability for the primary infrastructure. Physically provisioning servers in a data center can be costly and expensive. Greater reliability is gained through traditional dedicated servers in terms of redundant power, HVAC and networking options.HAVEN goes several steps further than traditional dedicated servers do.
