Using the File Manager The File Manager included in every MHS Web Hosting Account contains a full featured Online Webpage Editor that anyone can use. Follow these simple steps to edit any webpage on your website.
Step 1: Go to your website Control Panel/cPanel
Login to your website’s control panel (cPanel). Note: Replace maine-webcams.com with your your domain name.

Step 2: Login with your unique username and password
Login using your unique username and password. If you have forgotten your login information please click here. Once you have entered your login information click Log In to continue.

Step 3: Go to the File Manager
Enter the File Manager by clicking on the File Manager Icon located in your cPanel under Files.

Step 4: Choose the Web Root
You must choose the directory that your website files are located in. Be sure to choose Web Root, this is where the files that are public to the WWW are located. Then click Go to continue.

Step 5: Entering the File Manager
Another page will load containing your File Manager. On the left you will see the file structure of your web hosting account, you only need to be concerned with the file structure that is located on the Right Side of the screen, these are YOUR website files that are live to the WWW. At the top of the page you will see a series of icons that allow you to manage your website files in a multitude of different ways.

Step 6: Editing a Webpage
To edit a webpage you must first select the page in which you wish to edit. Click on the file’s name and the line will turn blue to indicate that you have selected this file.

Step 7: Choosing an Editor
The most common way to edite a webpage in the File Manager is with the Graphical HTML Editor. Once you have selected your file then click the HTML Editor icon to continue.

Step 8: Select an Encoding
This is just a formality for basic users. Simply click the Edit button to continue. Advanced users may select a different form of encoding if they wish.

Step 9: The HTML Webpage Editor
You will now enter the HTML Webpage Editor. At the top of the page you will see the editing menu, similar to that of most page editors you may be familiar with. You can select and edit text, click and edit images, add/edit delete images etc…

Step 10: Saving Your Work
Once you have finished your editing be sure to save your work by clicking on the Save Disk Icon, second in from the left at the top of the page editor.

Step 11: DONE
Once you have saved your work you may exit the File Manger or continue to work on additional pages.
